Detached three-bay two-storey former house, built c. 1820, now in use as county library headquarters. Large wing added to rear. Hipped slate roof with two centrally placed rendered chimneystacks. Roughly coursed rubble stone walls. Timber sliding sash windows with brick dressings to openings. Timber panelled door flanked by pilasters with moulded cornice and fanlight having wrought-iron decorative detail above. Low castellated coursed stone wall added to site.
