Located at the base of a SW-facing slope on slightly undulating ground in pasture. Depicted on the 1954-5 OS 6-inch revision as an irregular hollow. A roughly circular area (diam. 33.5m E-W), the S portion being truncated by a road on a NW-SE axis. The site is defined by an internal scarp (H 1.19m), a fosse (Wth 7.5m; D 1.24m) and an earthen outer bank (Wth 3.9m; ext. H 0.78m). There is a causeway in the NE quadrant. Old field banks abut the NW sector. The site is damaged by uprooted trees and cattle poaching. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
