Single-arch road bridge spanning tidal stream, built c.1820. Coursed limestone construction with semi-circular arch and voussoirs. Rubble stone parapet with rounded ends and upright copings.
This road bridge displays skilled local craftsmanship, with well-executed stone work and attention to detail obvious in the voussoirs and upright copings. It is an essential transport link, as well as an insight into early nineteenth bridge building in rural Ireland.
