Square-headed opening to south elevation with timber panelled half-glazed door, decorative side lights and overlight. Square-headed openings to rear (south) with timber panelled and timber panelled half-glazed doors. Detached multiple-bay two-storey outbuilding to south-east with bellcote to gable, pitched slate roof, rubble stone chimneystack, rubble stone walls with red brick relieving arch, and square-headed openings with replacement fittings. Detached three-bay two-storey outbuilding to north-east with pitched corrugated roof, rendered rubble stone walls and square-headed openings. Rubble stone boundary wall to east with pedestrian entrance having cast-iron gate. Square-profile cut sandstone piers to entrance.
The irregular elevations, variety of windows and the projecting wing are features which indicate the multi-phase construction of this intriguing building. The extremely substantial chimneystack set in the north elevation is a particularly early feature which may suggest an even earlier construction date. A curious and engaging house which is a notable addition to the local architectural heritage. The large related outbuilding contributes to the context and setting.
