Tirlickeen House vanished in County Longford, but one chamfered limestone fragment survived inside an outhouse doorway. Its punch dressing suggests a 16th-century origin, possibly from a forgotten tower house. The fragment turned a ordinary building into a threshold where centuries collided.

A single piece of chamfered limestone (0.46m x 0.18m), possibly a jambstone from a window, has been reused in the N side of the doorway of an outhouse, associated with the now-levelled, late-18th-century house to the SW. This house is named ‘Tirlickeen House’ on the OS 6-inch maps. Punch dressing on the stone is indicative of a 16th-century date.
