Architectural fragment in Rath Lower

A late medieval window lintel stone was to be seen in the wall of a house in the village of Grange in the 1960s and is believed to have possibly originated from 'Grange Abbey' (LH008-099001-) (ASI file). The demolition of 19th-century houses on the roadside in 1990's produced fragments of an ogee-headed window, which were moved to the presbytery of St James' Roman Catholic Church (O'Carroll 2000, 7).
