Freestanding limestone wheel guard, erected c.1840, at Y-junction between Rose Hill and Lee Road. Limestone slab with canted eastern face, tapering towards top and having rounded apex.
This limestone wheel guard is an eye-catching roadside feature. Though its design is plain and functional, it is skilfully executed and is an interesting part of the locality's road transport heritage.
