What is recorded here
Cast-iron water pump with timber casing, erected c.1870, with nozzle and handle. Casing is hewn from a single piece of timber. Now disused.
This is a very unusual pump with a vernacular design. Nineteenth-century street furniture is becoming increasingly rare in Ireland.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
