Cast-iron water pump, c.1860, with lion's head detail above maker’s name. Fluted shaft with domed top and acorn finial. Modern tap fitted to side.
This water fountain is still in use by people visiting the nearby cemetery. As a working piece of street furniture it lends character to an area of recent redevelopment.
