What is recorded here
Freestanding cast-iron water pump, installed c.1880, having fluted head and spout, fluted cap with finial, banded shaft, and curved cow-tail handle. Set in alcove with curved rendered wall.
A fine cast-iron water pump located in its original position which would have once acted as a communal water source. The banding and fluting are well executed and, along with the curved handle, add artistic interest to this utilitarian object.
