Detached three-bay two-storey barn, built c.1880. Pitched slate roof with dressed limestone eaves course. Coursed rubble limestone walls. Square-headed window openings and loop openings with red brick block-and-start surrounds. Round-headed door openings to ground floor having red brick voussoirs. Set in farmyard.

Built to a high standard, this fine building displays a high level of craftsmanship, most evident in the red brick window and door surrounds. It is unusually well built for an agricultural building which does not appear to be associated with a demesne. Located on an elevated site on the main Cork to Macroom road it is a notable feature in the landscape.
