Freestanding double-height Church of Ireland church, built 1901, having five-bay nave, chancel to rear (east), entrance porch to front (south) and lean-to sacristy over basement to rear (north). Pitched slate roofs with cut limestone bellcote to western gable, terracotta ridge cresting, limestone gable copings and cast-iron rainwater goods. Dressed limestone walls with tooled quoins having slight batter to base. Pointed arch window openings with tooled limestone sills and surrounds throughout, having cast-iron quarry-glazed windows. Paired windows to side (west) elevation with quatrefoil window opening to gable. Group of three windows to side (east) elevation. Pointed arch door opening to porch, having chamfered limestone surround and timber battened door opening to cut limestone steps. Shouldered square-headed door opening to sacristy with cut limestone surround, timber battened door and cut limestone steps. Square-headed door opening to basement with red brick block-and-start surround and timber battened door, accessed via dressed limestone steps. Wrought-iron pedestrian gate supported by cast-iron posts to west of site. Square-profile cut limestone piers with pointed caps flanking double-leaf cast-iron gates with rubble stone boundary wall.
A handsome Church of Ireland church retaining its original form and fabric, such as its fine quarry glazed windows, cut limestone window surrounds and a carved bellcote. Consecrated on June 26th 1901, it was built on the site of an earlier church which was built in 1834. Set close to the roadside, this excellent building makes a notable contribution to the surrounding countryside.
