Graveyard in Carrigane (muskerry East By.) is a roughly rectangular burial place beside river Bride where the earliest known headstone marks 1736. The former C of I parish church of Athnowen stands on its west edge, giving the stones a rare anchor of continuity. People still come there occasionally, suggesting the graves have never fully released their living relatives.

Roughly rectangular graveyard (c. 80m SW-NE; c. 50m NW-SE) enclosed bystone wall except to SW where it is bounded by river Bride. In occasional use; many inscribed headstones, earliest noted dated 1736. On W side former C of I parish church of Athnowen (CO073-055002-).
