What is recorded here
Freestanding cast-iron water pump, installed c.1870, having fluted head with foliated spout and bucket grip, banded shaft, and curved handle. Now disused.
This attractive cast-iron water pump remains in its original position on the roadside. It would have once served as a communal water source. The banding and fluting are well executed and, along with the elegantly curved handle, add artistic interest to this otherwise functional object.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
