What is recorded here
According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) in Garrangibbon there was 'a Mill seate' under the ownship of 'James Tobyn ...Irish Papist' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 143). This mill was possibly on the Glenbower river which flows N-S S of Garrangibbon townland and may have been located in the S of Garrangibbon or in neighbouring Ardbane or Heathview townlands. Currently unlocated.
