Tunnel, opened 1872. Part creeper- or ivy-covered portal walls between part creeper- or ivy-covered battered abutment walls with cut-granite chamfered stringcourses supporting replacement concrete block parapets. Single horse shoe-profiled openings with red brick header bond voussoirs. Sited spanning railway line with unkempt embankments to railway line.

A tunnel identified as an integral component of the later nineteenth-century civil engineering heritage of County Wexford on account of the connections with the extension of the Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford Railway (DWWR) line opened (1872) by the Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford Railway (DWWR) Company (cf. 15603201; 15702905).
