Structure

A half-split timber, four pieces of light brushwood and a possible stake (Wth 0.48m; D 0.06m). They are irregularly laid and widely spaced with the stake, which is isolated within the site, set at 45° angle. The site lies in well-humified Sphagnum peat containing fibrous roots. SMR OF010-281---- is 0.1m above this site. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
