Structure

A single piece of brushwood (L 1.09m; diam. 0.04m) in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with occasional fibrous roots. It has a toolmark and evidence of branch-trimming. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
