Structure

Two parallel pieces of light brushwood and six fragmented pieces of brushwood (Wth 0.94m; D 0.14m) in the drain face. The wood is in good condition but the ends of some pieces are degraded. The site is in moderately humified Phragmites peat with no other archaeological material evident in the vicinity. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
