What is recorded here

Two pieces of light brushwood (L 0.56m; Wth 0.14m; D 0.02m) with metal toolmarks visible. They are set in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
