Structure

An irregular deposit (L 3.12m; Wth 0.31m; D 0.18m min.) of five pieces of brushwood, a stake (av. diam. 0.02m) and twigs. The wood is in moderate condition and in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with some Eriophorum and fibrous roots. There is a similar brushwood deposit to the SE which is probably associated. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
