Marked only on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and located and located in woodland established before 1839 (OS map) on a steep N-facing slope down from the site of Greenmount House and overlooking the NE-SW River Slaney, which is c. 100m to the NW. It is on a terrace just on the N side of the more northerly of two E-W forest lanes c. 40m from its W end. This is an oval enclosure (int. dims. 10m E-W; 6.7m N-S) defined by a line of boulders (dims. c. 0.5m x 0.5m; H c. 0.6m). It is one of at least six similar enclsoures, and may be part of an ornamental landscape.
