Maulagallane means Hill of the Pillar Stone, yet the pillar has vanished from memory and marker alike. Burke wrote its name in 1918, but no one has pointed to it since. The hill keeps its shape while the stone retreats into rumor, daring anyone who climbs to invent what the earth forgot.
