What is recorded here

No stone remains, only a name saved on old maps and a empty field above the valley. That is not nothing. A standing stone may have fallen, been buried or removed, but the place still remembers the shape it once held.

Marked as 'Gallan' on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map and as 'Gallan (site of)' on the 3rd edition. There are no visible remains. Situated on good land, high up overlooking a river valley to S.
