Knockardsharriv holds a leaning stone near fort b, large enough to mark a boundary or warn a traveller. Bowman measured its girth in 1934, but he did not say whether people touched it, prayed to it or merely avoided it. The angle still points toward the field, waiting for someone honest enough to ask what it remembered.

This standing stone was referred to in the 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork - vol. 4 North Cork' (2000, 31) under the entry (no. 10057) for a standing stone (CO024-113----). The source of the original information for this record is Bowman (1934, 50) who recorded a 'dallan in Mrs O'Donoghue's, c. 200 yards east of fort (b) 5' 2" by 7' 1" girth, in an inclining position.' According to the inventory entry, the standing stone (CO024-113----) may be the one referred to by Bowman.
