Standing stone in Dromatouk

In rough peaty pasture, in an area of undulating moorland c. 3m N of a radial-stone cairn (KE093-025002-). This standing stone (1.2m x 1.0m; H 1.7m) is roughly triangular in section and is orientated NE-SW. It is incorporated into a NW-SE field boundary. Probably dates to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, given its association with a radial-stone cairn, suggesting a ritual or funerary context. Such stones may have marked territorial boundaries, served as waymarkers, or been part of ceremonial landscapes.
