Located on a gentle E-facing slope of the foothills on the NE-facing slope of the Comeragh Mountains. Conglomerate stone with a diamond-shaped cross-section (dims. 1.15m x 0.5m; H 1.75m) oriented NE-SW and utilised as a gate pier in a field bank. The field bank, including the gate pier, have been removed since 1989.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
