Claragh More holds a broken standing stone, not a proud pillar but a squat stump one foot high and nearly four feet around. It is said the upper part snapped off, leaving only a thick collar of stone behind. The exact spot has faded from memory, though it once stood on a local farm. What remains is small enough to overlook yet large enough to prove the ground still remembers weight.

Bowman (1934, 314) recorded standing stone on T. J. Murphy's farm; 'It is said that this was broken; remaining portion c. 1ft high, by 3ft 9in girth. Exact location not known.
