Standing stone in Cashel (gleneely Ed)

Standing stone

What is recorded here

Standing stone in Cashel (gleneely Ed) is a standing stone in County Donegal, Ireland. Perhaps it watched herds cross wet grass before men measured its broken edges. Maybe children climbed its flat top while adults argued about ownership. Imagine it falling in 1944, not with a crash but a sigh, releasing the last shape it had held.
A broken standing stone, 31/2ft × 31/2ft × l1/2ft, was removed from this vicinity in 1944 (M. R. Calhoun).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
