What is recorded here

Marked only on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a SW-facing slope overlooking the NNW-SSE Bann River with the stream c. 500m to the SW. It was described in 1939 as a bulbous stone (dims of base c. 0.35m x c. 0.3m; H c. 0.9m) (OSFM). It was not visible at ground level in pasture in 1987. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
