O'Leary measured the stone in 1918, but the exact spot has vanished. A woman may have dropped a glass of water on the grass and watched the ring spread before the men arrived with ropes. The forgetfulness suits the stone better than memory. What is lost can still be carried in the body, and the body can return it to the world without naming the place.

O'Leary (1918, 117) records'pillar-stone' in 'Pairc an Dalláin' measuring 11ft in circumference and 51/2ft high, on Mr. Willis's land. Exact location not known.
