Standing Stone

Standing Stone is a large menhir set between Millstreet and Ballinagree in County Cork, Ireland. It is the kind of long stone that people across Europe have stood before for thousands of years, and it still points upward like a finger forgotten by time. Perhaps it marked a boundary, a burial, a prayer, or a warning. Whatever it meant, it has outlived every language that spoke around it.
