Within a heavily waterlogged hollow. This spring well is unenclosed. According to local information, patterns were held here up until the beginning of the 20th century.

St. Martin's Well is associated with St. Martin of Tours, a 4th-century Christian saint known for his acts of charity and miracles. Traditionally, such wells were believed to have curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, and pattern days often involved prayer, processions, and offerings.
