St. Catherine's Well in Rathcoole, County Dublin, is a holy well dedicated to St. Catherine. It is no longer a well in any visible way. The field ditch has been widened and deepened until the water, the edge and the reason for the name have all disappeared. What remains is a gap in the ground where a person once knelt, drank or left a coin. The ditch still cuts the field. That much is certain.
