SS Creteboom in Garrankeel is a tugboat made of reinforced concrete, now settled into the River Moy. Concrete boats really could float, but this one has spent years making the man who said ‘That'll sink’ unbearable at family gatherings.

The hull of a tugboat constructed by John ver Mehr and company (established 1917) of Shoreham-by-Sea to a design by Guy Anson Maunsell (1884-1961) as one of a flotilla of twelve tugboats intended to work the iron ore shipping lanes between Great Britain and Spain during the First World War (1914-8).
