What is recorded here
No stones or ditches mark the dead in County Laois, yet the 1838 map named the forgotten grave site. The earth swallowed the markers while memory held the shape. People may have walked past rows of buried kin before the field took them back.
No surface remains visible of graveyard that is depicted on the 1838 ed. OS 6-inch map as 'Site of Grave Yd.'. Not indicated on subsequent editions of the OS 6-inch maps.
