What is recorded here

No wall or stone remains, but a bell shrine from this hidden church stands in the British Museum. The upland flat ground in County Laois keeps its own silence, perhaps waiting for someone to remember the shape of the building that once stood there.
On flat ground in upland area. No surface evidence of church survives. Bell shrine now in the British Museum said to have come from this site (JRSAI 1852, 49-52, JRSAI 1923, 161-2). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 17 December 2007
