What is recorded here

Situated on E-W ridge, marked on the 1910 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a subcircular area (max. diam. c. 30m WNW-ESE). The site is now completely levelled with only cropmark of fosse visible at N (in suitable conditions). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
