Site of Church is a church in Murgasty, County Tipperary, Ireland. Although the location now lies roughly in the centre of Tipperary town, the church may originally have stood within the town's northwest angle, with the town defences possibly forming the graveyard's northern and western boundaries. Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin received the church's patronage and tithes in 1215. A royal visitation in 1607 found the parish church in repair, suggesting continued Protestant use after the Reformation.

Though currently occupying a postion roughly in the centre of Tipperary town, immediately N of John Street, it was possibly originally located within the NW angle of the town, the town defences (TS067-004009-) may have formed the N and W boundary of the graveyard (Thomas 1992, vol. 2, 195). In 1215 the advowson (the patronage including the tithes) of the church of the vill of Tibrari (town of Tipperary) was granted to Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin (Bradley 1985, 56). A royal visitation of 1607 found the parish church in repair, suggesting that it continued in use after the Reformation for Protestant worship and in 1730 the medieval church was hugely remodelled (Butler 2006, 53-5, 189). The present C of I church at this location dates to 1832. Nothing survives at ground level of the medieval church, which is indicated as being immediately S of the C of I church on the 1st (1840) ed.
