Shanballymore Castle (Site of) — Report the wrong picture

Shanballymore Castle left no walls, only a scattered handful of uncut stones hidden in grass beside the Awbeg River. The site resists memory, denying even the shadow of a foundation. What stood there may have been a tower, a hall or a temporary military camp, but the earth has taken back the answer.

In level pasture, c. 120m N of Awbeg River and c. 200m W of Shanballymore House. No structure survives, only concentration of uncut stones partially obscured by vegetation; no evidence of foundations.
