Ring-ditch in Dunleever Glebe

Ring-ditch in Dunleever Glebe is a vanished twenty-metre circle, swallowed by a golf course after 1968 photographs caught its shadow. It climbed the southwest edge of a rath like a vine, entangled rather than separate, as if both marks belonged to one impulse. A person may have dug it in a single breath, drawing a boundary around themselves before leaving the hill. Now the grass levels what the hand once deepened, and the circle exists only in the memory of soil.
