Ogham stone in Unknown

Ogham stone

What is recorded here

According to Brash (Macalister 1945, 219, no. 225) this stone was found on the north side of a carn surrounded by three concentric rings of stones. Brash gave the townland name as Gortmaccaree but there does not appear to be a townland of that name. Macalister suggested that it may have been a mistake for Gortacreenteen. He describes the stone as being 4' 0'' x 0' 81/2'' x 0' 11'' and inscribed on one angle: NOARRA MAQI VORUDRAN. It is now part of the collection at Adare Manor (LI021-034002-).
