What is recorded here

Two medieval windows, one with a single light and one with a twin light, now occupy the wall of the 18th century Turnings House in County Kildare. They may have come from Whitechurch Church, though their earlier home has not survived into certainty. The building therefore keeps a displaced fragment of an older place, holding light through openings that once belonged elsewhere.
Record number KD014-023006- has been created for the unknown Original Location of the medieval single-light window (KD014-023002-), and record number KD014-023005-for the unknown Original Location of the medieval twin-light window (KD014-023001-), both now incorporated into the fabric of the 18th century Turnings House. Both may have come from Whitechurch Church (KD014-022001-). Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 10 June 2011
