Structure

A regular deposit (L 0.87m min.; Wth 0.38m; D 0.08m min.) of two roundwoods (diam. 0.065-0.08m) and two pieces of heavy brushwood. Most of the wood is orientated E-W. The wood is in moderate condition and set in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and fibrous roots. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
