Structure

A forked piece of heavy brushwood (diam. 0.061m) in the drain face set in Sphagnum peat with some Eriophorum. Further pieces of brushwood are present in the vicinity. SMR OF010-113----, which includes two fragments of a perforated wooden artefact, is 0.15m above this site. SMR OF010-114----, which includes a third recovered portion of the same artefact (01E0477:1), is 14m to the NE. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
