Architectural fragment in Shanlis

Shanlis holds a holy water stoup built into the south wall of its church. The stone cups clean water for hands before prayer, a small act repeated often enough to wear meaning into the material. People may have stood beside that wall for generations, dipping fingers and shaking droplets back toward the floor. The fragment records no grand event, only the steady rhythm of bodies preparing themselves to enter somewhere sacred.
