Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Riddlestown stands in pasture at a break in a south-facing slope, its circular earth-and-stone bank still reaching 1.25m externally along the best-preserved stretch from southwest to east. Cattle have poached the interior flat, smoothing whatever lived there into grass and mud, while the southeast edge has worn to a shallow scarp. The shape remains exact enough to suggest people once drew a line around themselves and refused the land beyond it.

In pasture, at break in S-facing slope. Circular area (28.3m N-S; 29.8m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.85m; ext. H 1.25m) which is best preserved SW->E but becomes scarp-like (int. H 0.2m) for c. 10m at SE. Interior, under pasture heavily poached by cattle, slopes down to S. Field boundaries, shown on 1923 OS 6-inch map abutting bank at NW and SSE, have been removed.
