Marianne and the twins followed the red arrow into Reaghstown, where a broken earth bank still circles an invisible chamber. They skipped stones along the grass and listened for the heartbeat of the fort hidden beneath it.

In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Marked as 'fort' on the 1835 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Surviving portion of bank with possible remains of external fosse suggests that the site was a ringfort.
