Structure

A very dispersed, irregular deposit (Wth 4.01m; D 0.38m) of heavy brushwood with occasional twigs. There is no cohesive form to the deposit but all the elements are orientated N-S. The site is in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with occasional ericaceous remains and fibrous roots. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
