What is recorded here

The fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Portavaud is in County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies gently undulating pasture as a raised circular area measuring 26 metres east to west and 24 metres north to south. A ten metre wide bank of earth and stone rises 1.4 metres internally around the centre. A slight external depression marks the fosse, while a four metre break at the north west indicates the original entrance.
Situated in gently undulating pasture. Raised circular area (dims. 26m E-W; 24m N-S) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone (Wth 10m; int. H 1.4m). The external fosse is visible as a very slight depression (Wth 4m; D 0.1) SW-WNW. A break in the bank at NW (Wth 4m) marks the position of the original entrance.
